Account Coordinator

Crafty Communications is now hiring a full-time Account Coordinator for their growing Inbound Marketing agency in Oklahoma City.

Our Account Coordinator creates original content for websites, social media, and ad campaigns. Common work activities include research, writing succinct and interesting facts, articles, and ad copy, follow editorial guidelines and adjusting work according to client requirements. Those interested will have impeccable writing and proofreading skills, creativity, and computer skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales and creative teams to develop content for implementation of advertising, marketing, and public relation strategies for company and clients
  • Write press releases, newsletters, articles, emails, blogs, and social media content
  • Develop, plan, and create social posts across multiple social media platforms
  • Builds and develops rich content calendars for social media
  • Conduct research and maintain databases on an assortment of projects.
  • Examples include maintaining media lists, tracking media results, maintaining resource library, obtaining vendor bids, etc.
  • Gathers, organizes and creates client reports (and help us sell value to our clients)
  • Writes content like news releases, blogs, opinion editorials, etc.
  • Supports content generation for other media, including print, video and audio
  • Plans, coordinates and manages events
  • Proactively manages the client relationship, serving as the client liaison and as a trusted advisor for the client for all communications and digital marketing needs
  • Educates and coaches clients on best practices, how new services and technology can be beneficial and how to best integrate services into the client’s organization to measure and increase ROAS
  • Proactively monitors account activities and provides regular reporting for clients
  • Understands and applies client’s business metrics and traditional marketing efforts to ensure tight integration of digital and public relations strategy
  • Accountable for client retention, renewals and the expansion of business with existing clients
  • Participates in new business development ideation and presentation of ideas to existing and prospective clients
  • Monitor clients’ social media platforms, participating in minute-by-minute online conversations by sparking discussions, answering questions, offering solutions and mediating conversations
  • Live posting and event coverage for clients, as needed (we’ll provide the camera, you provide the creative eye)
  • Set up social media promotions and contests, as necessary, to execute the strategy and engage the client’s social media community
  • Monitor social tools for positive and negative sentiment on client, escalating as needed
  • Update websites, as needed
  • Conduct keyword research for SEO purposes
  • Perform research for digital and public relations industry, as needed
  • Attend client’s events to cover for social media, take photos and post for the event

Qualifications:

  • Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and others on business level
  • Intermediate skill level with personal computer using MS Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Mastery of the English language, including grammar and composition
  • Basic knowledge of social media tools and techniques; research techniques and statistical gathering of information; public relations principles and strategies; accepted styles for materials released to media (including Associated Press and Yahoo Style Guide format)
  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Work within tight and often demanding deadlines
  • Organized and manage time effectively
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to successfully multi-task
  • Ability to research, gather and organize pertinent data
  • Ability to uphold and practice public relations and social media principles
  • Intermediate photography skills
  • Effective collaboration skills and a strong respect for a team environment
  • Web analytics and user-based web design knowledge is a plus
  • Additionally, must have a brain and a keen sense of humor

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English or marketing preferred or active pursuit of a degree in listed fields above is required. Demonstrated experience in these areas is required, such as internships, writing samples, portfolio, etc.

Additional Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation. This position requires travel 2-5 days a month. 

Salary:

Commensurate with experience. This position will work 32 hours a week and is able to receive benefits such as dental & life insurance, PTO and a Simple IRA.
